For THE BRIDE STRIPPED BARE:
"Rob Bliss is, without a doubt, a talented writer. This is clear from this book."

Man, it’s going to be hard to synopsize this book without major spoilers.
I’ve been reading Necro books for 20 years and there’s a reason I keep coming back to them. Are they scary?
Not so much, not if you’re a rational, reasonable thinking person in the world. I’ve never read a Necro book
and been afraid that might really happen. It won’t. That’s not why we read Necro books, we do it because
they’re so damned insane and full of chaos.
And Rob Bliss’s latest novel, THE BRIDE STRIPPED BARE is one more example of just how crazy the world can get.
Man, I haven’t read anything this graphic and detailed since my earliest forays into the works of Ed Lee.

"The writing was fantastic and picks you up right from the beginning and holds your attention until the very end. This book goes from bachelor party to horror all before chapter 6!"

"Rob Bliss put together a wonderful novel for horror fans to enjoy. Lots of sex, violence and rock & roll. Hard to put down, it has stories within stories and reminds me of Edward Lee's early works."

What The Bride Stripped Bare excels at is the addictiveness at keeping you reading. The story delves deeper and deeper into a seedy and horrific underworld and although there were elements that didn’t work for me personally, I just couldn’t tear my eyes away. At different points it felt like a drug – and Gord knows all about that! The translation of human emotion is brought to life so expertly that I had to wipe sweat off my brow. The adrenaline was pumping throughout. We also see survival instincts at play – flight or fight is a recurrent theme in The Bride Stripped Bare.

For WIDOW:
So, I recently found this little gem:
My Review of: Widow by Rob Bliss
5 out of 5 stars
Good, old-fashioned horror at its best!
This is one intense, twisted, addictive novel laced with just enough pulse-pounding suspense and skin-crawling creep factor to keep you on the edge of your seat! Not only is this very well-written with wonderfully-interesting characters, but the suspense builds at just the right pace as the story unfolds, and I loved the subtle nod to a popular fairy tale. This "unputdownable" story also has one shocking surprise after another along with a major twist at the end. Just an all-around excellent read! I'm now a confirmed Bliss fan!

"An update on the 3 LITTLE PIGS, like only Bliss can do." . . . "A pretty out there short novel by a great up and comer in the dark fantasy/horror genre."

"Widow is a re-imagining of The Three Little Pigs, so there are real pigs, yes, but also humans acting like pigs. When Bliss assigns pig attributes to humans, it’s really creepy and cleverly done." . . . "I enjoyed the dream-like scenes. They weren’t necessarily full of action, but they were descriptive, stuffed with tension, and my favorite scenes.

"In this book, Bliss takes us on a journey following Joan and Joey, a widowed mother and her son, as they move from place to place and, at times, only staying one step ahead of the evil that stalks them.
"This book is very well written. Much like the author's other work. And it proves without a doubt that this author has not only talent but imagination to boot. Again Bliss is able to pull you right in from the beginning and you have no choice but to just go with it. Questions of the "why" and "how" seem futile in this very dark twist on the classic fairy tale. Just keep repeating to yourself: "just go with it!" LOL You'll get there! 😉
"I really enjoyed this one. Not as much as I enjoyed The Bride Stripped Bare, but I definitely enjoyed it none the less. And for the author to be able to fit that much story and detail into a novella definitely is astounding.
"If you like dark fairy tales and fantasies or horror, you would most certainly enjoy this delightful short read. I recommend this one for sure."

"This kind of story from a lesser writer might have gone awry in so many ways. However Bliss makes much of what could be hallucinatory seeming nowhere set peces feel meaningful. Fraught with dread and menace, we’re invested in the Widow & her son’s trials from chapter one. And as the story progressed I felt as trapped as the characters."

"Ambiguity is an important part of the horror genre and Widow has it in buckets, but the next reviewer may well disagree with my interpretation. It’s just one of those books." . . . "It’s quirky, odd and a rather unique read which is likely to be one of those books which will both split the critics and frustrate readers. Having said that, I still found it oddly charming."

For BLOOD QUEEN & OTHER STORIES:
Rob Bliss is a new name to me. I happened to stumble across him on Twitter. So I read one of his anthologies. If you keep up with my reviews, you know I like various stories by a new to me author so I can glimpse in their head.
Rob Bliss did not disappoint.
And there is such a great variety in between these stories. Each one held my interest. My favorite was about a soldier in a foxhole. Normally, I avoid military stuff since I was a real life soldier, but I really liked that one.
If you're in the mood for a variety of stories then you can't go wrong with this book.

For DEVIL'S NOTE:
Overall a gripping read, I was not expecting something quite like this, it had some really interesting ideas and at times came across as an R-Rated Theological debate! (In a good way!)
I really enjoyed, this, It’s pretty hardcore so not for everyone but I am going to give this 4.5, I don’t really want to round this down but not sure I can quite give it an ‘I love it’ rating of 5, so 4 will have to do, but remember it's a 4+!

Although these topics are often challenging, or maybe even taboo in society, I found myself impressed by the way the author wove them together to construct this extremely pleasurable, enjoyable and highly amusing fictional storyline about the battle between the forces of good and evil, whilst many of the ideas, creativity and imagination employed in his narrative were often just first class. . . . Looking forward - I can definitely see myself reading much more from this highly talented writer of adult, horror and supernatural fiction, unless however, I have just imagined this big black 'hole' read and it is was all just part of a fantastical dream into an alternative form of reality. Rating: Adult (definitely XXX) but also worth a very enjoyable and commendable 4.2 stars.

For THE PIGG BROTHERS:
I came across this Author and book on BookBub. When I read the synopsis, the first thought that came to mind was the 1987 Movie 'Blood Diner'. I was instantly intrigued. Holy sh**! This was so unequivocally dark and disturbing, beyond anything I could have even imagined! This is not a book for the faint of heart! Or rather not for the faint of stomach!
Now that I have said the above aforementioned, the author has a really strong writing style.
If this is a story of horror(bloody, disgusting, horror) that you think you may like to read, then you will not want to miss out on this one! YIKES!😱

For FLESH HOUSE BLUE:
This is going to be a hard book to review. I really enjoyed it but man was it odd, and by odd I mean bonkers. It started out relatively normal (ish) and then got more and more bizarre as I read on, also more and more interesting too. You really do have to suspend all disbelief when reading this book.
So yes it was thoroughly mad but also an entertaining read, the story gets stranger and it becomes almost magical and it is also a little funny at times too. So much crazy and ridiculousness and yet I still really liked the story. I had no idea what was going to happen next but I had to find out. Literally anything could have happened, the author really let his imagination run wild.

For THE CASTLE OUROBOROS:
The day I started reading The Castle Ouroboros, a thunderstorm knocked out the electricity in my neighborhood. It seemed fitting to read this novella with the lights out (thank goodness for back-lit Kindles); the darkness augmented its Gothic atmosphere. ... It was a cool quick Gothic horror read.

For T'Hell Witcha:
Denis Scott
4.0 out of 5 stars Chaoticall amusing story of gore
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 7, 2020

A chaotically amusing story of a straight laced father and his all American family who have the misfortune to live next door to an ancient witch with plans to dominate the world and them in particular while continuing a hell centred war with her dead demon ex husband. Kept me engaged although became a bit repetitive in the chapters leading up to the big battle at the end, though not enough for me to lose interest. Hence four star rather than five.
